In 2023, Czech Republican star Petra Kvitova claimed the Miami Open singles title. Petra defeated Indian wells 2023 champion Elena Rybakina in the final. Event favorite Elena had a chance for doubles sunshine but was defeated by Petra 6-7, 2-6. It is 1st title for Petra in 2023 and 1st after Eastbourne International in June 2022. 33 years old star claimed the 30th title of her career.

In the doubles title, All-American pair Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula have won Miami open 2023 doubles title after defeating Taylor Townsend and Leylah Fernandez in the final 7-6, 6-2. This was her 1st Miami final and she grabbed an easy win by 6-4, 6-0. Apart from Miami Open in the WTA1000 category, Star also won the Qatar Total Energies Open 2022 and BNP Paribas Open 2022.

On the other side, Double’s title goes to seeded no. 1, Elise Mertens from Belgium and Veronika Kudermetova from Russia. Champions grabbed the title against Vera Zvonareva from Russia and Laura Siegemund from Germany by 7-6, 7-5.
