Indian Wells Masters 2023 Results
In singles, Revenging the defeat suffered at the Australian Open, the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, reigning Wimbledon champion, beat the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka to win her first title in the prestigious WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. Rybakina, tenth in the world, beat Sabakenka 7-6 (11/13), 6-4 in two hours and three minutes on the center court of the Californian tournament.

The women’s doubles title was won by Czechs Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova. In the final, the best doubles pair in recent years in women’s tennis defeated the Brazilian-German duo Beatriz Haddad Maia/Laura Siegemund 6:1, 6:7 (4), 10-7. The winning pair won Australian Open earlier this year together.

BNP Paribas Open 2022 Winners
In singles, seeded no. 3 Polish star Iga Swiatek won the 2022 Indian Wells Open on 20th March. She defeated seeded no. 8 Greek star Maria Sakkari by straight sets (6-4, 6-1). Polish star got a victory against 2021 champion Paula Badosa from Spain in the semifinal. This was the 5th WTA tour singles title of her career and the 2nd WTA1000 consecutive title (the 1st one was the WTA 1000 Qatar Open). Swiatek also claimed a new record as she is the only Polish star to claim Indian wells.
In doubles, Unseeded Chinese pair Yifan Xu and Zhaoxuan Yang win the doubles championship. Champions won their title against Asia Muhammad from the USA and Ena Shibahara from Japan with (7-5,7-6) straight sets. Chinese pair got their entry just 30 minutes before the draw after Barbora Krejcikova withdraws and were lucky enough to win their 1st team title and biggest career title.
