Adelaide International 2024 Results
Jelena Ostapenko captured her seventh career title, defeating No.15 Daria Kasatkina 6-3, 6-2 in Saturday’s Adelaide International final. The win is Ostapenko’s fourth hard-court championship title and first since winning 2022 Dubai.
While in the doubles, Beatriz Haddad Maia and Taylor Townsend defeated Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic in straight sets 7-5, 6-3. Taylor also won both titles in 2023 (Adelaide 1 and Adelaide 2) with different partners.

History
Brisbane International’s inception in 2009 left Adelaide without an ATP or WTA lead-up event to the Australian Open. Over the next decade, Adelaide hosted the World Tennis Challenge, but the advent of the ATP Cup led to the consolidation of tournaments, creating space for Adelaide International.
In February 2019, the South Australian Government committed $10 million to add a canopy-roof structure to the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre. This enhancement, part of a five-year deal with Tennis Australia, facilitated the launch of the 2020 Adelaide International. The two-time Grand Slam champion Simona Halep was confirmed as the first player to play in the 2020 Adelaide International.
In 2021, a WTA-only tournament occurred post-Australian Open while in 2022, two consecutive Adelaide Internationals took place just before the Australian Open. In 2024, Adelaide 1 and Adelaide 2 have been merged, and their status has been elevated to WTA 500 level.
