In singles, Elisabetta Cocciaretto of Italy Wins Maiden Title at the 2023 Ladies Open Lausanne. Elisabetta Cocciaretto of Italy defeated Clara Burel of France to claim the Women’s Singles title at the 2023 Ladies Open Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland (a WTA 250 event). The score in the final was 7-5, 4-6, and 6-4 in favor of Cocciaretto.
In doubles, the Hungarian Anna Bondar and the French Diane Parry conquered the WTA 250 in Lausanne, winning the first title of the year and in their career together. They defeated Amina Anshba and Anastasia Dețiuc in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.

Croatian star Petra Martic won the Ladies Open Lausanne singles championship. Petra won her 2nd career WTA title. Star defeated Olga Danilovic of Slovakia in the final in straight sets (6-4,6-2).
In the doubles championship, Olga Danilovic of Slovakia and Kristina Mladinovic of France won the doubles title after their opponents’ walkover in the final.
Lausanne Open 2021 Champions
In 2021, Tamara Zidansek of Slovenia won the singles title against Clara Burel of France. Tamara defeats Clara in the final by (4-6, 7-6, 6-1). Tamara was the first Slovenian player to with this title’s history.
In doubles, swiss pair Susan Bandecchi and Simona Waltert picked the title. The Swiss pair faced Ulrikke Eikeri of Norway and Valentini Grammatikopoulou of Greece in the final and defeated them by (6-3, 6-7, 10-5).
Ladies Open Lausanne History and Winners
Back In the late 20th century, the tournament was named the “Wimbledon of Switzerland” because it brought together the top players of Wimbledon. It also brought together the best players from Europe. However, this didn’t last for long. After the 1980s, the tournament lost its popularity. It wasn’t until 1997 that the Ladies Open Lausanne regained its glory. The event’s name changed many times, WTA Swiss Open (1977–85), European Open (1986–94), Ladies Championship Gstaad (2016–2018), and Ladies Open Lausanne (2019–).
