The 2022 Eastbourne international singles champion is Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic. In the final, Petra faced 2021 champion Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia and defeated her (6-3, 6-2). This is the 29th WTA title for Petra.
In doubles, Aleksandra Krunic of Serbia and Magda Linette of Poland grabbed the doubles title after Lyudmyla Kichenok of Ukraine and Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia walkover. This has been an unlucky WTA tour for Jelena, as she couldn’t win the Singles title or the doubles title.
Eastbourne International 2021 Champions
In 2021, the Singles champion was Latvian star Jelena Ostapenko. Jelena faced Estonian star Anett Kontaveit in the final and smashed her in straight sets (6-3, 6-3). On the other side in doubles, Japanese pair Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara defeated Nicole Melichar of the USA and Demi Schuurs of the Netherlands in straight sets (6-1, 6-4).
