Silicon Valley Classic also known as Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic due to the sponsorship by Mubadala Investment Company. This event was founded in 1971 and in 2022 it will be its 50th edition. This tournament categorized into different levels since the start including WTA Tier I, Tier II, and WTA Premier Tournaments and since 2021 it has become WTA 500-level tournament.
The event was played on a hard court outdoor surface of San Jose State University Tennis Center, San Jose California USA. Silicon Valley Classic consists of 28 Single main draws with qualifying draws and 16 Doubles main draws. The 50th edition will start on 1st August and the final will be played on the 7th of August 2022.
The list of historic Silicon Valley Classic winners is like a Hall of Fame star; all-time greats such as Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova (5 times winner), Monica Seles, Venus Williams, and Serena Williams have all lifted the trophy.

In 2022 total prize money of Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic is decided to be $757,900. The singles winner will get $68,570 along with 470 points and the finalist will get 305 points along with $51,000. The semifinalist will have $32,400 and 185 WTA points.

In 2021 Total prize money was $565,530 where the winner of the singles title took $68,570 with her and the runner-up had $51,000. In the 2021 doubles title, the winning pair received $25,230 and the runner-up received $17,750.

Silicon Valley Classic 2022 Champions
In a single championship, Russian star Daria Kasatkina defeated Shelby Rogers of the USA. In the final Daria won the title by (6-2, 6-1, 6-7)
While in the doubles championship, both Chinese stars Yifan Xu & Zhaoxuan Yang lifted the title. The winning pair defeated Shuko Ayoma of Japan and Hao-Ching Chan of CHN in the final set (6-0, 7-5).
Silicon Valley Classic 2021 Champions
In 2021, in the singles championship which was the first at WTA 500 level, Home star Danielle Collins won the title against Daria Kasatkina of Russia. Collins won the final in the final set (6-3,6-7,6-1). In doubles, Croatian star Darija Jurak and Andreja Klepac of Slovenia defeated Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Luisa Stefani of Brazil in the final with (6-1,7-5).
