Birmingham Classic Rothesay 2023 Results
In singles, Jelena Ostapenko defeated top-seeded Barbora Krejcikova in the Birmingham final to win her second grass-court title on Sunday, the Latvian claimed victory 7-6 (8), 6-4. It was Ostapenko’s sixth career title and second on grass after winning at Eastbourne in 2021.
While in doubles, Barbora Krejcikova claimed the doubles title with partner Marta Kostyuk. In the final, the winning pair defeated Alycia Parks and Storm Sanders 6-2, 7-6.

The Birmingham Classic, sponsored by Rothesay Pensions, is a women’s tennis tournament on the WTA Tour held at the Edgbaston Priory Club in Edgbaston, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Since 1982, the tournament has been played on outdoor grass courts and serves as a warm-up event for Wimbledon. It is also considered a sister tournament to the men’s Queen’s Club Championships.
The tournament has undergone various name changes, currently known as the “Rothesay Classic,” and has been previously sponsored by different companies such as Viking, Nature Valley, Aegon, DFS, Dow, and Edgbaston Cup. From 2014 to 2019, it was a premier-level tournament, but the 2020 competition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
