Guangzhou Open2023 Results
In the singles championship, Unseeded and ranked No.88, Wang Xiyu stormed to her first Hologic WTA Tour title at the Galaxy Holding Group Guangzhou Open without dropping a set. The Chinese 22-year-old became the sixth home champion in the tournament’s history. She swept Poland’s Magda Linette 6-0, 6-2 in the final of the tournament in Canton, China.
In the doubles, Chinese pair Jiang Xinyu and Hanyu Guo faced Japanese pair Eri Hozumi and Makoto Ninomiya in straight sets 6-3, 7-6. The winning pair won their 1st WTA Doubles title together.
