The 2023 Stuttgart Open becomes a carbon copy of 2022 in the sense of champions. Both single and doubles champions defended their titles.
The Polish Iga Swiatek, number one in the world, conquered the Stuttgart tournament for the second consecutive year and launched the women’s clay court season in Europe, defeating her immediate rival in the WTA rankings, Aryna Sabalenka, in straight sets (6 -3, 6-4). After the Stuttgart Open title, Iga now has won 13 WTA tour titles.

In the doubles championship, Desirae Krawczyk & Demi Schuurs defend the title to win the Porsche for the second consecutive year after defeating Nicole Melichar-Martinez & Giuliana Olmos 6-4 6-1. Desirae Krawczyk won back-to-back titles in April 2023 (with Danielle Collins at Charleston and with Demi Schuurs at Stuttgart).

In 2022, Singles Title won by World No. 1 Iga Swiatek (Poland) against Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus). Polish star easily won the final battle 6-2, 6-2. 20-year-old Iga wins 23 matches consecutively and wins the fourth straight title. The Polish star also won her last seven finals in straight sets. Her winning streak began with a title run at WTA Doha. Back-to-back finalist Ayna Sbalenka couldn’t win a title.
On the other side in the doubles championship, Seeded no. 2 Demi Schuurs of Nederland and Desirae Krawczyk of the USA won a title against seeded no. 1 Zhang Shuai of China and Coco Gauff of the USA. It was the first title in 2022 for titleholders.

Stuttgart Open, also known as Porsche Tennis Grand Prix due to its lead sponsor since 1978, is the WTA 500 categorized Tournament. The event has been held on the hard clay court surface of Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart, Germany since 2006. The tournament is the oldest women’s indoor tournament in Europe
In 2009 this event transferred to clay court from the hardcourt and after that, it was considered important for the French Open due to the same type of surface. In 2019 (10th time) this event get the favorite event in this category, voted by the players. From 1978 to 2006 this event was held at Tennis Sporthalle Filderstadt, Germany.
