Madrid Open, also known as Mutua Madrid Open due to sponsorship by Mutua Madrileña, is held in Madrid in early May. Madrid Masters played on the outdoor red Clay surface of Caja Magica, Spain Madrid since 2009. Madrid Open was founded in 2002 but till 2009 it was the only ATP tour since 2009 both the ATP tour and WTA tour were held in Spain. In 2012, the event was played on the blue court for the visual experiments but it wasn’t continued after some top players refused to play on it, and the tournament returned to the traditional red clay.

The venue of the Madrid Open will be Park Manzanares of Madrid, Spain. The winner will get 1000 rating points with the runner-up’s 650 points. This event is classified as an ATP Tour Masters 1000 on the ATP Tour and a WTA 1000 event on the WTA Tour

In the 2022 Mutua Madrid Open, Ons Jabeur grabbed Singles Title from Jesica Pegula and earned the prize money of $599754 (€568,790).
On the other side in the doubles championship, the Pair of Giuliana Olmos & Gabriela Dabrowski won the title against Demi Schuurs & Desirae Krawczyk.
